Preschool Program
At WCS, we utilize the Emerging Language & Literacy Curriculum(ELLC). ELLC prepares preschoolers for success in kindergarten and gives them a strong foundation in oral language and literacy with this scientifically based curriculum. This program not only addresses all developmental domains with theme-based units, children’s literature, multi-sensory activities, scaffolded instruction and parental involvement but also creates an engaging environment with activity and play-based learning. The ELLC is one of the three state approved preschool programs for Kindergarten readiness. To learn more click here .
We also bring our Christ-centered environment into the preschool classrooms with Bible Centers incorporated into the ELLC classroom set up. Among their other centers they will also have a Bible story that goes along with their monthly themes and we always incorporate prayer and christian songs into whatever we do with our students.

At WCS our preschoolers engage in hands-on learning experiences through centers (that change theme every month), small and whole group activities, one on one correspondence and group discussions (circle time). Children learn best when they can emerge all of their senses into an activity. Their brains take in more, and they retain more information this way.
And the child grew and became strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him.
